Sheepworld has long proven to be one of New Zealand’s most popular sheepdog displays. An entertaining demonstration of the New Zealand sheep and wool story and an amazing array of the end products. Sheepworld is the main stop on Tui Tours NZ Country Life Tour and is less than an hour north of Auckland.
Sheepworld provides a unique insight into how we farm our sheep in New Zealand, then harvest and use their wool.
The dogs round up and bring in the sheep, which are then sorted and shorn. The Wonderful Wool multimedia exhibition then explains and demonstrates how the fleece is put to an amazing variety of uses.
As well as demonstrating the NZ sheep and wool story, SheepWorld has some great ways to experience NZ nature first hand and to meet with some of our friendly wildlife and farm animals.
