Join us on our popular tour to the real middle earth at Hobbiton Movie Set in the Waikato region; you step into the lush pastures of the Shire where Peter Jackson filmed his famous Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies.

The Hobbiton Movie Set Tour starts with picking you up from Auckland and you will enjoy a scenic drive into the farming area of Waikato.  Once we arrive at Hobbiton you are able to enjoy a quick lunch at the famous Shire’s Rest Café or you can arrange to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy outside on the large tables provided.

You will be picked up and escorted around the 12 acre site explaining how this magical movie was made.  You will enjoy the beautiful view over the area out to the Kaimai Ranges and view the Hobbit homes, gardens, the party tree, The Mill and onto the Green Dragon Inn to have a complimentary drink.

After this magical experience we head back into Auckland to your accommodation.
