Auckland West Coast and Wine Tour
Heading west, we experience Auckland’s west coast black sand beaches and get up close and personal with the birds at the amazing Muriwai gannet colony whose breeding season starts in late July.
Driving past the city limits through lush farmland, we arrive at Auckland’s major wine growing region, where we visit one of the top local vineyards and sample some of their award winning wines. As a contrast, we also visit the nearby Hallertau Boutique Beer Brewery followed by a short lunch stop at a local café.
After lunch, we continue on to sample some more wines at one of our other favourite vineyards. This area is home to many popular vineyards such as Coopers Creek, Matua Valley and Soljans to name just a few.
We conclude our tour returning to the city via the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
