Our tour takes you to Puhoi, which is one of New Zealand’s ethnic historic villages.  It was settled by Europeans on 29 June 1863 by a group of German-speaking migrants from Staab (modern Stod) in Bohemia, now a province of the Czech Republic, under the leadership of Captain Martin Krippner. This has given it the appellation of “Bohemian Settlement“. We get to taste European style cheeses they make here.

At the honey centre you will get to taste New Zealand’s famous Manuka Honey, renowned for its healing properties and to appreciate the busy worker bees.  A quick stop next to enjoy the taste of New Zealand Chocolate.

After  Enjoying  a New Zealand Cafe’ style lunch, we view a vast selection of colorful ceramics, pots, home decor and garden ware, all created on-site in the expansive buildings that house the showroom and pottery factory of Morris and James.

Your next stop is to the newly opened Sculptureum, with over 400 works in the three gardens.  The Garden of Creative Diversity, filled with sculptures that range from classical fountains to towering flower, to life size elephants made of driftwood.   The Palm Garden is home to the more delicate works of glass, metal, ceramics and other material, while the Pink Snail Garden houses a wonderful array of art, including vibrant and hugely playful pieces by the Cracking Art Group.
